Theatre, Art and Yoga
The practices of freeing your expressions and balancing the discipline to be still. I create Art with beauty and chaos through Movement, Writing and Expressions!
To Be Free and To Be Present!
I believe in the mindfulness practice of theatre, art and yoga for change, healing, transformation, wonder, creativity and inspiration. Theatre for me is an intimate place, where you can see works of artists alive and moving. The hard work of different artists involved transform in front of you breathing beside you and intimate with you in the same space. All the creative works come to life!
There could be 10 to 15 to 20 people involved in one piece, inspiring one another each night and everyone's processes are all transformed night after night after night. It takes a lot of strength, courage and willpower to be in theatre!
Theatre can be funny, reflective, and tragic. And whether you are enjoying the play laughing or you’re itching to get out or you feel uncomfortable, there will always be lessons to be learned. Lessons on love, death, injustice, peace, joy, strength: created by the playwright, explored by the director, given life by the actors/artists, moved by the light, supported by the set and enhanced by the sound and everyone experiences creativity transforming. This transformation awakens the soul, because it is teaching us the lessons of intimate creativity, connection, respect and most of all being present in the moment. This is why I love theatre.

Theatre Testimonials:
"Rose has this amazing, amazing, amazing energy and power and humour."
~ Interviews from Phase 3 Play Creation CBT - People Power, Ric Knowles, Dramaturge, 2009
“Rose has been a fellow actor, fellow dreamer/co-creator and a wonderful friend for many years on many projects. Her honesty and laughter is a gift to all who have the privilege to work with her. As a writer and performer, she is a force that brings a powerful and genuine voice to her characters honed through years of study and application. And despite her talent, she is refreshingly humble and grounded. I only wish she had remained in Toronto to continue to help me build and strengthen the Filipino-Canadian theatre community here. But the East Coast’s loss is the West Coast’s gain. Wherever she goes, it’s my hope that she’ll continue to share her many gifts and to tell stories she was born to tell.”
~ Leon Aureus, Artistic Producer – Carlos Bulosan Theatre
"Oh Rose is so funny and she gives life to the CBT (Carlos Bulosan Theatre Collective). She also works fast and she doesn't mind being criticized for whatever she is doing. It's a very cohesive group and fun to work with."
~ Interviews from Phase 2 Play Creation, People Power, CBT, Amihan Bonifacio-Ramolete, Teatrong Mulat - Puppet Workshop Facilitator, 2009
"When she comes to play the tracks...she's really dedicated to really trying to get it"
~ Interviews from Phase 3 Play Creation, People Power , CBT, Alexander, The Music Facilitator, 2009
